Add A Door Knocker To Your Door

Posted on 25 March 2013 by Mark

Why not dress up your front door with a door knocker. They don’t need batteries
or any special wiring. And they last a long , long time. A rustic door knocker can
add a great look to you door. To me, they are more inviting than the shiny ones
you see in most stores. They come in a variety of themes, so look around and
find one that fits your decor.

Rustic Door Knockers Don’t Mean Rusty

Posted on 23 March 2013 by Mark

If you are looking for an added attraction to your front door, you might
want to add a door knocker. Look around for something unique. Try
auctions and garage sales. A rustic door knocker can look good on any
type of door. Just make sure you don’t get a rusty one. There is a difference
between rustic and rusty. Rusty will get on you hands, where rustic is made to
look that way without getting rust on your or your friends hands. Rustic looks
good on any cabin or modern house. It’s fun to shop for them so enjoy it.

Cast Iron Door Knockers Add A Bit Of Class

Posted on 20 March 2013 by Mark

If you want to dress up your front door, try a cast iron door knocker. To me,
they look better than those cheap brass one the sell at the stores. Cast iron door
knockers come in a variety of ways. My favorite is the horse door knocker. That
is probably because we own horses. They also come with roosters, dogs and many
others shapes. To me it also beats the noise of a door bell.

What A Horse

Posted on 25 June 2012 by Mark

My horses name is Chance. He is a black bay quarter horse. At 14 years
old, I thought he was very smart. After all, I taught him everything he knows.
Last Saturday I was in the garage working and while working I was watching
Lonesome Dove II. My horse was just outside the garage eating grass. One part
of the movie was Captain Cull looking at a horse heard. On the TV, the horses
started making horse noises as the do. My very smart horse thought there were
other horses in the garage and started whinnying as he came in. I finally convinced
him the garage was empty. Since then, I have taken down my horse door knocker.
Every time the wind bangs it, my horse says “who’s there”.

Rustic Door Knockers Look Good On Any Home

Posted on 20 December 2011 by Mark

You don’t have to have a mountain home or cabin to put a really
cool rustic door knocker on your front door. Most big box stores
only sell the chrome or shinny brass ones. Why not be different than
all your friend and neighbors. If you look around you will find something
really unique that fits you. Maybe it’s a horse head, or perhaps something
that shows your love of gardening. You can look at garage sales, flee
markets or search the Internet. There’s a lot to choose from, so take
your time and get what fits your lifestyle.

Door Knockers Can Really Be Creative

Posted on 10 December 2011 by Mark

So you just put up a new front door and it’s time to add a door knocker.
Do not go to one of the big box stores and get something boring like
everybody else has. Look around for something that fits your style.
You may find it on the Internet or maybe at a flea market or even a
garage sale. Just look around until you find what you want, your
door will wait. We love horses and we have a lot of horse items in
our house. We found a beautiful horse door knocker that we mounted
to our front door. We get plenty of compliments just because it is
different than the ordinary type.

Rustic Door Knockers Make A Nice Touch To Any Home

Posted on 27 November 2011 by Mark

Don’t get one of those shiny brass door knockers for you home that
everyone has. They can be bought at any store. Try to find something
more unique. If you live in the city or the country a rustic door knocker
adds a bit of country charm to you home. It will make you entry way look
more inviting and people will remember it. Most are priced about the same
as the plain ones you can buy at any box store. Have fun with you home.
you don’t need to spend a lot to add  that special touch.
