Farmers have been sitting in them for over a hundred years
plowing their fields and growing their crops. Now you can
get nostalgic cast iron tractor seats to put on your deck or
patio. Not only are they comfortable but they make a great
conversation piece. We put them around our fire when we
have friends over. The height is perfect for sitting on and roasting
marshmallows. Because of the rugged look and color, they will go
with almost any decor you have. One of our friends who has a John
Deere tractor uses them for bar stools in his basement. It’s a great
touch to conventional bar seats that you see everywhere.

Old fashion tractor seats add a unique seat to any room in you house,
outdoor deck or patio. Although they look like they are rusted, they are
not and with a quality finish, they will last for years. You can be really
creative on where you put these. If you have to take down an old tree,
cut the stump so it is about 3′ high and mount the seat on that. We have
a fire pit in our backyard and we mounted several cast iron tractor seats
on stumps for seats. We get plenty of great comments on them because
they are so different than the normal chairs you always see.

Seems like all seats look the same these days. For our backyard,
we added cast iron tractor seats.
We love the nostalgia that they add. We have put them around the horseshoe pits,
2 at each end. This gives all the players a place to relax when they are not throwing .
Add a table for snacks and drinks and you’re set for a great afternoon.
They would also make a great seat inside the house if you had a bar or high seating area.
