I live in Colorado, however, and the prospect of running outside in the freezing cold to tend the grill isn’t too attractive. To that end, I have found a way to circumvent the traditional system and enjoy grilled food year round.

Most people are probably assuming I will be touting some product like the Foreman Grill, but in my opinion, this product does an inadequate job of creating an authentic grill flavor. I prefer to use a cast iron flat grill on my stove top when I grill indoors. This effectively simulates the open grill cooking and allows me to cook scrumptious steak, burgers and chicken anytime of the year.

Let’s face it I don’t know how to work most kitchen equipment, and either do many other single men out there. Growing up I never really explored the kitchen, Mom took care of all that stuff. Maybe I was a little spoiled. I admit learning how to use a cast iron griddle to make pancakes, or an oven to bake cookies would have made it more convenient to enjoy all my favorite snacks as an adult.

Whenever I visit home Mom tells me she will teach me how to cook, but I really feel like it’s too late. Fast-food isn’t healthy, but at least it’s quick! Maybe if Mom actually buys me a griddle for Christmas this year I will take to time to learn how to cook.

I love using a griddle for cooking. Especially when it comes to family breakfasts or big get togethers. With such a huge cooking surface I can easily clean it just by wiping it down. I don’t even have to cool it off first and then wait for it to reheat. If you’ve ever cooked for a group then you know how challenging it can be when the cooking surface space runs low.

Enter Lodge Logic griddles, on sale no less, and the problem is solved! Offering speed, convenience and superior quality cooking this is one tool no home should be without. Take a look and see for yourself how a cast iron griddle can make your family cooking more family fun!
