Making Hash Brown Potatoes

Posted on 06 July 2012 by Mark

Making hash browns in a cast iron skillet is simple and easy, you
just have to have some simply patience. Because of time, we buy
the frozen ones at the grocery store. We put some oil in our skillet
and heat it up at medium heat. Then we add the has browns and
flatten them in the skillet. Here is where the patience comes in.
Let them cook, and leave them alone. Don’ be pushing them around.
When you can giggle your skillet around and the browns move,
it is time to flip them. Before you do that, take a brush and coat
the top with more oil and then flip and leave them alone until
done. Once done, you can break them up with a fork and serve.
They are great for breakfast or any meal.
